Bavarian can be extreamly expressive and insults or swearing are common at home or in public. Being a very traditional language (more than a dilect) the use of modern worrds and products can soun pretty rediculous sometimes like in this song about McDonalds...

Why learn Bavarian?

I have travelled in quite a few countries and realised that learning a little bit of local dialect leads to acceptance and respect. I will collect some Bavarian stuff here to help those that are interested. Sometimes the locals love to learn the travellers language too!
